Rabby’s journey reflects a rise from dedicated volunteer to confident lead coach, shaped by PTSA and Street Games, gaining qualifications, leadership skills, and leaving a lasting impact in youth development.
A desire to help young people led Rabby to join PTSA in October 2017. While working full‑time, he volunteered as an assistant coach, demonstrating the energy and enthusiasm that made it clear he had a future in youth development.
Rabby later joined the Street Games apprenticeship scheme in March 2019, and after making a strong impression, he was invited onto the Coach Mate programme. There, he received mentoring support from Street Games and PTSA
The confidence Rabby gained from working at PTSA and completing the Street Games apprenticeship empowered him to take on the lead coach role not only in PTSA’s Doorstep Sport sessions but also with the PTSA Under‑9s team.
Over the years, Rabby has achieved accredited coaching qualifications, as well as soft‑skills accreditations in areas such as Youth Mental Health First Aid, Emergency First Aid, Managing Challenging Behaviour, and Engaging Women & Girls.
“Getting the chance to work full‑time as an apprentice at PTSA was a lifeline — a dream come true. I’ve travelled to Denmark for work… what an amazing thing to tell my friends and family!
